How to Choose a Melissa and Doug Dollhouse

A dollhouse is a great gift for young girls. Girls love to play house and play pretend. And to make their playtime more enjoyable, you should give them a Melissa and Doug dollhouse. They have different kinds of dollhouses such as a Victorian dollhouse, a regular dollhouse, castle, and even horse stables. Miniature horse stables are also great gifts for little boys. They also sell accessories and doll house furnishings separately.
If you are planning to buy a Melissa and Doug dollhouse, here are some tips that you should consider.
You should think about the size of the dollhouse. Do you want a big dollhouse with two storeys and several rooms? Or would you prefer a small doll house with a few rooms? You have to choose the best one for you. If you are planning to give it to a young girl a simple Melissa and Doug dollhouse will do. For older girls, they probably want something more life-like and more complex. You should also consider the place where you will putting the dollhouse. Another thing to take into consideration is the parts of the dollhouse. Are they movable and working? For example, can you open and close the doors and windows? Can you put something inside the closets and cabinets? What about the dolls or figures? Can you move their body parts? Movable and working parts make it more fun to play pretend using a dollhouse.
It is also important to check whether the furnishings and accessories are included or sold separately. Of course, it will be more expensive if the furnishings are included but at least you do not need to spend extra time shopping and choosing appropriate furnishings for the dollhouse. Furniture like beds, tables, chairs, cabinets, dressers, and couches are a must. But even if the furnishings are already included, you still have to buy other smaller accessories to complete the dollhouse set.
You should also decide whether you are going to buy a Melissa and Doug dollhouse as a toy or for display. Many adults collect dollhouses especially the kinds that have really complex designs and details. A Victorian dollhouse can be a nice toy for children and a great display. Melissa and Doug create wooden dollhouses which are longer lasting and more durable.

I read his stories as a child. I've read/heard other things as I got older. Shel was a jester who appealed to all ages.
