I recently received a comment "Don't you ever do a salad?" The answer to that question is quite simply, yes I do. Most of these recipes I upload are old. This was filmed at least two months ago during football season and I was taking it to a potluck. You need to keep in mind I am cooking for a bunch of beer drinking men. Men don't want no freaking salads, okay? The truth of the matter is I'm not cooking these things for your enjoyment, instead for the enjoyment of my mens. I just happen to record them, and share them, in case it's something you'd like to try. That being said:
One (or Two) Can Pork
2 cans tomato sauce 2 cans shoyu (aka soy sauce) 2 cans sugar Garlic, salt & pepper to your taste. I like a lot of garlic and pepper. The salt is covered, as far as I am concerned, by the shoyu.
Chocolate Truffle
Bake one chocolate cake according to box. Cut into bite-sized pieces. 2 packages of instant pudding (I used sugar-free pudding with skim milk, and it tastes just as good as the sugar loaded stuff) 1 large container of Cool Whip (I used sugar free and it tastes just as yummy!) Skor/Heath bars (usually 3-6, depends on your crunch demands)
Layer in the order of recipe: 1/2 the cake, 1/2 the pudding, 1/2 the Cool Whip, 1/2 the crunched up Skor bars. Repeat. Serve using a very large spoon. It looks disgusting but it tastes wonderful. It's very 'light' and refreshing.
Before I found out that these were called trifles (its actually truffle, I believe), I used to call it "Wendy's Ooey Gooey Chocolately Stuff." Then it just dropped the name Wendy and just went to Ooey gooey chocolately stuff. (lol).
I am planning on making a salad for an upcoming party that I am sure you will love. I had it at a party we threw at the gym and all I can say is I wish she'd made more of it. :)
