How to Stay Positive in a Negative Society? Avoid the Negative Affects

A positive mental attitude is absolutely crucial to have when trying to better your life situation. There is no way that you can have a negative attitude and at the same time attract the things that you want in your life. It can be challenging to stay in a positive mind state all of the time, especially when we have people around us who are negative all of the time. When you hang around people like this, even though you may be in a positive mind state, they will cancel that out with their negativity. To explain this think of a wave in the ocean, if it is headed east and another wave is headed west and they collide they will cancel each other out. On the other hand if you take the same wave that was traveling east and it meets up with another wave headed east they will combine and actually double in size and intensity.
This example displays just how important it is to be around like minded people. In fact if you do find people that have the same goals and desires that you have in life, your efforts together will double the results and double the intensity you can use to reach your goals easier. This can be a challenging piece of advice to follow mainly because for most the negative people in their lives are often their own friends and family. This does not mean that they are bad people, it simply means that they are not on the same track as you that's all. Everyone has different goals and desires that they want to achieve in life if your goal is to be successful then you have to learn to stay positive and avoid negative situations and people.
Many people(including myself) think that they can still hang around with negative people and just brush it off, or not let it affect them. It is tempting to try to stay with the same crowd and just try to stay positive, however, it just will not work, eventually you will be brought back down into the same thinking patterns. You don't have to completely turn your back on your friends and family, you just have to be aware and limit the time you spend in negative environments. If you keep a positive mental attitude and continue to strive after your goals, there is no doubt that you will make new friends and meet new people that are on the same exact journey that you are. When you meet people with the same goals as you then you can join forces and achieve great things.
